I have maintained a wealth management practice in the UTC/Golden Triangle area for 37 years. We currently advise over 160 individual and institutional clients with over $200 million in assets under advisement. I have a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of San Diego and a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of California at Davis. I have held the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation since 1988. Outside of work I commit my time, energy and financial support to several charitable organizations in San Diego County. My wife Terri and I enjoy travel, the outdoor lifestyle of Southern California and trying to keep up with 20-something year old daughters.

I began working in finance in 2012 with Carter Financial, LLC before transitioning my career with a move to San Francisco with one of the world's largest asset management banks. After a short hiatus from paid employment to start a family, I rejoined the Carter Financial, LLC family where I maintain a high standard of care for clients, a mastery of operations and financial planning, and a personal sense of responsibility and accountability reflected in my daily interactions with clients. Before entering the world of finance, I studied to become a teacher. The drive to educate and empower others is still very strong and one of the aspects of this work that I love most.

I hold a B.A. in psychology, a series 65, and CFP® designation.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, two daughters, and two dogs. I love getting outside, traveling, biking, and reading.
